Paediatric Physiotherapy

At HBF Physio, we support babies, children and teens (0–16 years) with movement, coordination and development, because the early years matter.

While several of our physiotherapists have additional training in paediatric physiotherapy, all of our physios are equipped to support your child with early assessment and care, and you don’t need to wait for a specialist referral to get started.

No gap initial consult*

Eligible HBF members get a no gap initial general consult* with one of our physiotherapists.

*For eligible HBF members with physiotherapy extras at HBF Physio. Offer covers an initial general consultation. Not available in conjunction with any other offer. Limit of one per person per calendar year. Waiting periods and other exclusions apply. View the full Terms & Conditions here.

When can my child benefit from physiotherapy?

No matter the concern, we take the time to listen, assess and tailor a plan that’s right for your child and your family. Physiotherapy can help with:

  • Delayed development (not meeting rolling, crawling or walking milestones)
  • Unusual movement patterns like bottom-shuffling, toe-walking or W-sitting
  • Coordination or balance challenges like struggling with running, jumping, hopping or ball skills
  • Rehabilitation needs after illness, injury, surgery or a long hospital stay
  • Bone, muscle and joint conditions like flat feet, torticollis, plagiocephaly or joint hypermobility
  • Support for disabilities including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, Spina Bifida, brain injuries, muscular distrophy, Down’s syndrome or other congenital or genetic conditions)
  • Bumps and tumbles from sport or play causing pain in the legs, arms, back, ankles or feet
