Marelize Osborne

Hi, I'm Marelize Osborne

Managing Executive & Physiotherapist at Butler

From a young age, Marelize was always fascinated by the human body and whilst taking part in a variety of competitive sports, such as dancing, swimming, running and hockey, she developed a new appreciation for how injuries and altered biological functions can change a person’s capabilities of achieving previously set out goals.

Since completing her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University, Marelize has gained a wide range of experience in cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, neurological, paediatric, geriatric, vestibular, lymphatic, hypermobility, fibromyalgia, sport-specific, and pre and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Her role as a physiotherapist is not just about relieving pain or discomfort; it’s about working collaboratively with her clients to empower them in achieving their goals. Marelize finds immense satisfaction in being a part of their journey and witnessing them attain their well-deserved successes.

“I love that I get to use my knowledge and skills as a physiotherapist to make a positive influence on someone else’s life. I love getting to be a part of someone else’s journey and watching them reach the goals that they have worked for.”

Committed to continuous learning to ensure she stays at the forefront of her field, Marelize holds certifications in dry needling, Clinical Pilates (mat, equipment, and pre and post natal), and GLA:D® rehabilitation. She is also a native Afrikaans speaker, enabling her to connect with a diverse range of her clients.

She thrives on the dynamic challenges that working in a private practice presents. With a smile, she’ll tell you, “You never know who might walk through the door,” and that’s what keeps her profession exciting.

As a sideline physiotherapist for various sporting clubs, Marelize has firsthand experience in dealing with sports-related injuries. She has worked with rugby, hockey, AFL, soccer, netball, athletics, and baseball teams and her hands-on involvement has given her invaluable insights into treating injuries in different stages, be it acute, sub-acute, or chronic.

Outside of work you can spot Marelize at the beach, tending to her garden, sharing a quiet evening with her husband, or hosting lively board game nights with friends. She’s an avid runner, takes time to cherish moments with her fur baby Hercules, and indulges her love for books and gardening, exploring the aisles of local bookstores and Bunnings gardening centres.
