Why everyone should try Clinical Pilates at least once

No two bodies are the same, and Clinical Pilates recognises that. Unlike other forms of exercise, Clinical Pilates is led by a physiotherapist, meaning every exercise is grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored specifically to you.
It’s much, much more than just some fancy stretches!
It all starts with a comprehensive assessment, where your physiotherapist gets to know your body, your injury history and what you want to achieve so they can create a Clinical Pilates program designed specifically for you to help you reach those health, fitness or wellbeing goals.
From there, you have the option of 1:1 sessions or joining our small group sessions in our clinic gym, where every exercise still has you in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why do I need an initial assessment? Prior to commencing, your physiotherapist will need to assess your injury history, areas of concern and current fitness levels to then design and closely supervise a tailored exercise program which is aligned with your health goals and comfort limits in mind.
Above all, we want to make sure Clinical Pilates is the best fit for you. - What do I wear? We recommend wearing clothes that allow you to move freely. Keeping this in mind, anything comfortable is great, so gym tights, track pants, singlets or T-shirts are all appropriate, along with a towel to wipe off the hard-earned sweat! Remove obstructive jewellery or accessories (wedding rings/small earrings are fine) and don’t forget socks for equipment use and a water bottle for drink breaks.
- What equipment do you use? Exercises are conducted on the reformer and trapeze table, utilising various springs for resistance. The resistance and exercise type are finely tuned to match your fitness levels.
- Do you offer 1 on 1 or group sessions? Both options are available. We typically begin with 1 on 1 sessions, ensuring you master exercises with proper technique and later, we encourage you to join our small group (maximum of 3) sessions.
